WE ARE CURRENTLY NOT ACCEPTING NEW ASSOCIATES
Holos Institute offers a unique internship program for Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor Interns throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Internships at Holos are structured for post-Masters professionals in the MFT and LPC licensure track who are interested in informing their clinical work with principles and practices of Ecopsychology. Most interns remain in the Holos community through licensure and are guided in building and sustaining a private practice.
Internships at Holos are structured very much like a private practice internship but also involve membership in a community of creative, holistically-oriented psychotherapists who are curious about the interface of environment and psyche. While interns are expected to be self-motivated and work independently, they also have the support of community through shared office space, group supervision, twice monthly clinical seminars, seasonal staff retreats and other community events. Interns at Holos are supported in crafting their unique voice in the psychotherapy world and are guided through practical components of marketing and presentation. Advanced interns are offered opportunities for public presentations, teaching, and publication. We strive to offer the finest level of professionalism and the refinement of clinical skill while considering our place in the field of Ecopsychology.

Application:
Currently, we are only accepting applications from candidates who have completed at least 800 clinical hours
AND will be transferring a caseload of at no less than 5 weekly clients.
Regrettably, we are not able to offer practicum training for beginning MFT and LPC trainees at this time.
Our application has been simplified to the following online application. It prompts you to upload a current copy of your resume or CV.
We have some basic questions to ask of you along with some clinical and theoretical inquiry. We ask that you answer candidly but with thoughtfulness as you reflect on applying to an internship to an ecopsychology grounded internship.
Once you hit the “submit” button we will receive your application form and respond within 10 business days.
It is VERY HELPFUL if you also send us an email that serves as a cover letter to your application. This serves as our “heads up” for your application and helps us orient to your particular situation in a way the online application cannot.
Please include in that at least 2 clinical references that we may contact. If you have pre-written reference letters we ask that you include at least one clinical reference (ideally a clinical supervisor) whom we may contact.
