“I have practiced psychotherapy for 20 years.  My work is grounded in multi-dimensional listening. I help clients tend the threads of the inner and outer, sacred and mundane, visible and invisible, remembered and forgotten stories that echo through personal history, the body, ancestry and culture, the transpersonal and the earth.  Because these stories make us who we are, we can’t NOT belong. Remembering this begins to mend the personal isolation afflicting so many in hyper-individualistic American society.

One of the guiding principles of my life and professional practice is, ‘If you only have a hammer, everything starts looking like a nail.’ That said, I am an enthusiastic collector (and teacher) of useful therapeutic tools and psycho-social skills. My approach integrates deep imagination, mindfulness, emotional intelligence, authentic communication, assertiveness skills and nature-based practices.

Through respectful, interactive, honest, and sometimes vulnerable contact, I meet my clients at the level of practical problem-solving as well as more complex difficulties arising from trauma and attachment.  To varying degrees, they begin to find their way into more embodied self expression and generative engagement in a world that is alive, intelligent, and full of meaning.”
