Introduction to Ecotherapy | Saturday, May 30, 2026 | 9:00 am – 1:30 pm | San Geronimo Valley, Marin County, CA | with Jan Edl Stein, MFT
EcoTherapy is a modality of psychotherapy that involves engaging with the natural world as a “co-therapist” to facilitate deeper awareness, recover from trauma and stress in a non-verbal process, and cultivate creativity and liminal states of awareness that facilitate emotional healing. This brief workshop is a “hands on” introduction to eco-therapy.
Sight and Insight: A Deep Nature Retreat for Women| July 5 - 10, 2026, Ocamora Retreat Center, Northeastern New Mexico
We will explore “seeing” with all senses as a means of forming an intimate relationship with nature. There will be some art and simple writing practices to support our seeing and connection that is inspired by ancient Chinese landscape poetry. Part of the retreat will involve solo time on the land and a practice of mindful silence. In a morning dreamwork practice we will track the ways in which the natural world speaks to our psyche.
