Marni Rothman is a qualified therapist, as well as an artist, and a priestess. She spent ten years in the business world before training at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco.
Marnie has trained with mentors from around the world, and holds multiple certificates in Gestalt therapy, a lively and playful approach that focuses on the true self, in this present moment. Originally from the New York metro area, Marni has also lived in Ireland for years, where she connected with the land and its various histories, an experience she enjoys continuing here in the Bay Area. Marni has a multi-cultural background, including experience with blended families, immigration, and mobility/chronic pain issues. She speaks multiple spiritual languages, including Yoga philosophy; Jewish, Christian, and Sufi mysticism; and earth-based practices. Marni has worked with clients’ issues such as depression, anxiety, anger, creativity, aging, and sexism (among others), using modalities such as talk, story, myth, meditation, ritual, sand play, role play, and dream work. She is gentle and strong, and creates a safe container to experience new ways of being and to discover one’s truths. Marni welcomes clients, as they are, to explore the potential of the imagination, and to mobilize their desires and passions towards authentic expression and being.
Marni enjoys gardening, reclining on rocks, art and crafting, sacred chant, and karaoke.
